IT'S TIME

IT’S TIME

As I have been continuing to study and reflect on the Word of God certain words are being highlighted to me over and over and God has been speaking to me through His Word.

Words like hear, obey, sent, go and do have been jumping off the page.  I have a strong sense that what God is saying to me is to not just read the Word, teach the Word or write about the Word but live His Word and be obedient to His Word.  There is an urgent call to obedience in these last days.  God is putting on my heart that wherever I am at right now He wants me to go deeper, to know Him more and make Him known-bear more everlasting fruit!  To live my life fully for Him and Him alone.  To me that means to fully walk with and be led by Holy Spirit.  It means there are things I need to let go of and make a decision to be all in!  There are things that God has been clear with me about His calling for my life and I believe that He has more.

Some of the scriptures that have been highlighted are Acts 7:48; Lk 8:8, 15, 18, 21; Lk 10:5-9, 27-28, 37; Lk 11:28; Mt 28:18-20 and Mk 16:15-18.

Some of the things God has put on my heart are to do more prayer walking, to be more available to go to the homes of people of peace to tell them about Jesus and demonstrate that the kingdom of God is here, to be more available to visit people who need a word of encouragement, comfort, healing or freedom and to spend more time around my kitchen table (and hopefully others kitchen table J) sharing about Jesus!

Having said all of that I am taking some time away from writing this blog and I am going to be more intentional to practice the things that God has put on my heart to write about over the past few years.  I’m not sure exactly what all of this will look like but I am believing in faith that this one step of obedience will open up more opportunities to preach and demonstrate the kingdom of God, make disciples and teach them to obey all that Jesus has commanded, heal the sick, cast out demons-in other words live for Jesus!

I would like to thank all of you who have encouraged me so much by reading my blog.  I have been changed by writing them and I pray that you have been changed by reading and applying them to your life.  I hope you have laughed and cried.  I hope you have been encouraged, convicted and challenged.  Most of all I hope that you have fallen more in love with Jesus!

The Lord bless you richly as you live for Him!

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Rev 2:7 NKJV)

I will certainly miss your blogs. I understand what you mean It is time consuming and instead you want to put these efforts face to face with someone who needs to hear the Word . If anyone can do this it's your smiling face. I will look forward to testimonials you will be sharing with us. The Lord bless you and keep smiling on you and keep you safe.

I echo Erin’s sentiment, Wendy. Your blogs will indeed be missed. I went back to your blog on perseverance. And that was such an encouragement to me. I had recorded Romans 5 v 1-5 on my phone, just last week,so that I would hear my own voice reminding me when I forget.about hope and not being disappointed. But what stood out most to me is the word “tribulation “, which you so clearly defined. The key though is what results from tribulation. The progression. “Tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance character, and character hope” Then it culminates in v 5 “ Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” That is why we persevere to have that hope. Thank you Wendy, got your hours of study and teaching, and putting into practice what you have learned over the years of perseverance. God bless you.
