A Picture of Gratitude

A Picture of Gratitude “Her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much” (Luke 7:47)   Hello Saints, Happy Thanksgiving!   “Give thanks with a grateful heart…because He has given Jesus Christ, His son” are the words of the 50-year-old popular worship song. Even more precise are the words to the newer song: “All my words

Moved to Presence and Prayer

Moved to Presence and Prayer The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results (James 5:16b NLT) Hello Friends, Two weeks ago, I shared in “Moved to Respond” that I am sensing a stirring in my spirit to go deeper in Christ, die more to myself, so I can be ready to be “all in” to serve Jesus, living the life He

Barefoot Freedom

Barefoot Freedom  “The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the hole of the cobra, and

Moved to respond

Moved to respond  I said: "Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips;  For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts. (Isa. 6:5)  I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me. (Isa.

Just Jesus

Just Jesus “As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.  Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the

It's about the fruit

It’s about the fruit Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?  Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.  A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor

Undoubting hope, fullness of joy, assurance of future glory

Undoubting hope, fullness of joy, assurance of future glory  When people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it. And without any question that oath is binding. God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. So God

The Importance of community learning

The importance of community learning  What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church. (1Corinthinans 14:26)   Hello Saints, Have you ever wondered why we do church the

Matsa Moments - Pastor Mike

Matsa Moments - Pastor Mike

The Hebrew word “Matsa” means to: find, meet, discover, encounter. It is used in Deuteronomy 4:29 where the Lord says, "But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Throughout Scripture, there is an invitation from God to find Him; He actually rewards those who diligently seek Him (Heb. 11:6). To see God we must be looking for Him.

This blog is a journal of finding God - discovering who He is; learning more about His character and attributes, as I encounter Him in in His Word and world around me. These posts are theological reflections emerging out of a desire to understand how the Creator interacts with us, His creatures. Hopefully, through these you will see how the Ever-present Holy One also invites you to know Him more.
