A ‘Now’ Word to the Church

Your statutes stand firm; holiness adorns your house for endless days, O LORD.

(Psalm 93:5)

Hello Saints,

On August 1, 2023, while praying along with some brothers and sisters, I heard the Lord ask, “Why do you profane (defile, desecrate) what is holy?” Following that prayer night, I spent time with the Lord and in His Word, asking Him more about what He was saying to the church.

The Lord gave me more details regarding His question. Why do you profane my holy name? Therefore, say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name's sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went (Ezekiel 36:22); which is profaned by harlotry/spiritual adultery: “They shall be holy to their God and not profane the name of their God… (Lev 21:6.). Why do you profane my Sabbaths? You have despised My holy things and profaned My Sabbaths” (Eze 22:8). “Why do you profane the covenant of the fathers?” (Mal 2:10; Deut 7:1-4) The Lord highlighted the question, “Why do you profane your sanctuaries?” (Eze 44:4-9; 2 Co 6:11-18).

Although I received this Word from the Lord to His church over 3 years ago now, in September 2026, there is an increasingly urgent call to obey this word, to holiness and intimacy with Christ, both individually (1 Co 6:19-20) and corporately (1 Co 3:16-17). We, followers of Jesus, are temples of the living God! We have the Godhead living in us! Think about how awesome that is! How profound! How sacred!

According to the prophecy of Malachi, the Lord, will suddenly come to His temple to refine and purify, to show that none can profane that which is dedicated to the service of God, without loss and punishment (judgement). (Mal 3:1-7)

Fear Me, says the Lord! Return to Me, says the Lord! While there is still time!

Do not tolerate sin in the church-she is holy, says the Lord!

The Lord has been warning His people through His prophets, in both the Old and New Testaments, calling us to holiness, to obedience. I encourage you to read the book of Jude. We must be discerning and urgent in purpose to warn the church of Jesus Christ against false teachers and prophets. We are to ‘contend earnestly for the faith.’ “Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.” (Jude 1:3)

Exhortations to the church:

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.” (Jude 1:20-23)

When the Lord returns, only those in Christ, can stand holy and blameless before Him. Are we ready? Are we the prepared bride Jesus is coming back for? (Rev 19:7-9)

THERE IS SUCH WONDERFUL NEWS FOR THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST!

The Lord is in the midst of us declaring, “My house shall be called a house of prayer”, convicting, sanctifying His church by His Spirit. He is faithful to His Word:

  • Even them I will bring to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices Will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations” (Isa 56:7);
  • Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. (Eph 5:25-27)

Be jealous FOR one another!

Jesus is cleansing the temple. (Jn 2:13-17) He is zealous for His church. Are we, like Paul? “For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.” (2 Co 11:2)

A Word from the Lord to the church (From Haggai - August 2022)

  • Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” (Haggai 1:4)
  • You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?" says the LORD of hosts. "Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house.” (Haggai 1:9)

Response:

  • Are you willing to lay down your life for Jesus and His Church? Are you willing to lay down excuses, complacency, idols and do what ever it takes to get rid of sin and walk in victory!
  • Take a look at your condition, the condition of the church. Ask the Lord to stir up your spirit so you will do whatever it is God has called you to do... love one another; build up one another; pray for one another; be zealous for God’s house; make disciples; equip the church.
  • God is with us and will bless us as we focus on Jesus, love Him, desire to know Him more, spend time in His presence, worship Him in holiness, godliness and righteousness. He will continue to sanctify His church by His Spirit bringing forth conviction, hope, joy! Welcome His conviction, respond with repentance. There is joy in forgiveness. (Ps 32)

Revelation chapters 2 and 3 are full of exhortations, calls to repentance and blessings for obedience. By His grace He is making us pleasing and acceptable to God - a people He will dwell with forever! (Ro 12:1-2; Rev 21:1-11; 22-27)

Pray for the church! Pray for protection, preservation, holiness, purity, godliness, righteousness.

Pray:

And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows. May He, as a result, make your hearts strong, blameless, and holy as you stand before God our Father when our Lord Jesus comes again with all His holy people. Amen. (1 Thess 3:12-13 NLT)

God will do it:

Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. God will make this happen, for He who calls you is faithful. (1 Thess 5:23-24 NLT)

Grace and peace
